VARGA Portfolio. Folio, publisher's 1/4 cloth over pictorial boards, a few insignificant scratches to edges; with 12 pin-up Vargas 1946 calendar prints for each month with glossy front finish, laid in pocket, bright with little evidence of handling. Better than usually encountered. Esquire, 1945
Esquire, Inc., (1945). FIRST EDITION. Folio - 13-3/4" x 10-1/2". Publisher's green 1/4 cloth over pictorial boards, The inside of portfolio has a calendar for each month of 1946. Laid in in a cloth pocket are 12 leaves of colored plates, each measuring 9-5/8" x 12-13/16" The leaves are one for each month of the year, printed with a full color illustration by Vargas, with pin-up girls dressed in seasonal attire, along with the year and the month and a four line verse like "February: The month of February / is the briefest of the year, / So please forgive my costume -- / It's just a symbol, dear!" The plates are bright and clean with little evidence of handling. The cover has shelfwear and minor damage, pleas see photos.The condition of the portfolio is VERY GOOD.
