A history of Cornwall is illustrated throughout with photographs by Christian Browning, du Maurier's son. This is a collection of writing that explores Cornish history through the landscape, people, legends, climate, and eccentrics. Written by du Maurier who is best known for her works Rebecca, Frenchman's Creek, and Jamaica Inn. This work explores Cornish history and why it inspired du Maurier's work. In the original publisher's cloth in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart. Marginal age toning to the flyleaf. The boards are bright and clean. A small mark to the front and rear pastedown. Offsetting to the title page. The odd spot but the pages are generally bright and clean. Near Fine
