A first edition of a collection of letters from Robert Louis Stevenson to his friend, literary advisor and editor Sidney Colvin. Volume 2 only (of 2). The letters were written from RLS's residence in Vailma, Samoa and cover the period from May, 1892 to October, 1894 (shortly before his death). With a frontis photographic portrait of Stevenson and Samoan chief Tuimalealiifano. --- In green cloth-covered boards with gilt fillets to covers and gilt-stamped spine titling; TEG (top edge gilt). Volume lacks a dust jacket. --- A well-preserved copy, though with rounded lower cover corners.; 16mo - 6 to 7 in. tall; iv, (3), 8-275 pages .
