D. Appleton-Century Company, 1917. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1917. No Edition Remarks. 612 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Quarter bound green leather with green cloth covered boards and gilt. Ex-Library copy, with expected inserts and inscriptions. Contains black and white photographic plates. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout. Plates are bright and clear. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout however binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is darkened.
