FIRST EDITION, ORIGINAL BINDING, octavo, blue textured buckram boards, gilt lettering & decoration to spine, gilt aristocratic illus to front board, blind stamp decoration to boards, aeg, frontispiece, xii + 351pp, G+ (heavy chipping to spine extrems with some minor loss, light to moderate cracking to front hinge, moderate tanning to spine, light chafing & soiling to boards, lengthy gift inscription in ink to ffep, varying degrees of foxing to pages throughout, varying degrees of cracking to gutters- v heavy to gutter of pgs 216/217 with some separation of binding) please feel free to ask for photos!
