London; Motor Racing Publications Ltd., 1954., 1954. Hard Cover. FIRST EDITION. Oblong quarto, pp. 25, [1]. 8 acetate diagram plates as called for, plus charts and illustrations within text. Publishers' olive green cloth with orange titles to upper board; green pictorial endpapers; unclipped green pictorial dust-jacket. Cover cloth lightly sunned to edge; ownership inscription to ffep dated 1956 otherwise contents clean. Several small tears to jacket edge (up to approx 1-inch) with associated creasing but without loss. A Near Fine copy in Very Good jacket. History of the technical advances in design leading to the development of the B.R.M. engine and a tribute to it's contribution to British prestige in the field of engineering. Scarce in the fragile jacket.
