About This Item
Gretna, LA: Pelican Publishing Co., 2013. Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. The True Crime story of Timothy Wells, the Rochester, NY, college professor who, in 2009, murdered his wife and spent a day driving around upstate New York with her body in the trunk of his car while he looked for the perfect spot to end his own life. It is written by Dr. Jerid Fisher, a noted forensic neuropsychologist, who, in his role as a neuropsychiatric expert for the defense, spent many hours interviewing Wells, other family members, friends and college associates. About 5 3/4 x 8 3/4 inches, 176 pages illustrated with many b & w photos, and bound in red paper-covered boards with gold lettering on spine. The dustjacket's front panel shows a photo of a man's and woman's heads touching each other and looking at the viewer. The woman's head is upright relative to the dj, while the man's is upside down. Title is in white lettering below the photo, author and subtitle in red. Dj's back panel shows two blurbs praising the book against a red background. Inscribed, "To Diane/Best Wishes" and signed by the author on the half-title page. Boards and text are clean, complete and show no other markings than the inscription and author's signature. No noticeable damage or flaws. Not ex-library, not remaindered. Dustjacket shows only light surface wear, no tears, creasing or chipping, no clipped corners. A collectable copy. An interesting note: the dustjacket's illustration is from a photo originally designed by the murder victim, Christine Sevilla, and provided courtesy of Timothy Wells.
