Early reprint edition of this autobiographical work on 4-time New York governor and unsuccessful 1928 presidential candidate Alfred E. Smith. Near fine, outer edge of the text block a bit dusty and with a 1928 newspaper clipping tipped in at the beginning of the index. In original dust jacket with portrait of Smith superimposed on drawing of New York City scene, wear at the extremities. This edition was issued during the 1928 campaign.
