Garden City: The Crime Club/Doubleday Doran, 1949. first edition as stated. Hardcover. Very good +/very good +. 5 x 8 in. Brown cloth boards. Stated first edition. Signed by Strange with an inscription on the ffep t Stanley Clifford, rare bookseller in Derr Isle ME, dated 1961. Condition is VERY GOOD+ ; covers very clean with minor shelf wear. Binding tight. Endpapers mildly toned, text bright and unmarked. Stanley Clifford's small bookplate on front pastedown. DJ is VERY GOOD+ ; not clipped ($2.50) very clean, one small closed tear to spine tail, a larger closed tear to rear that has some extensive creasing around it. Minor toning to edges, spine slightly sunned/toned. In a Mylar wrapper. Scarce title. Fic. RGR.
