A detailed historical and topographical guide to the lesser-known areas of the county of Sussex, including: the forests, Hammer ponds, mountains, smugglers, harbours, and much more. Written and illustrated by Donald Maxwell, an English writer and illustrator noted for his topographical work. In the original red cloth binding. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and minor bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine and boards. internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light scattered spotting. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
