Crestline: George F. Kolbe, 1990. Tall 4to [29.5 by 23 cm], original red half calf with gray cloth sides; spine with four raised bands, ruled and lettered in gilt; printed in red and black. Frontispiece; 418, (2) pages; 21 additional plates. Untrimmed; pictorial endpapers mounted in place. New. One of two copies thus bound from a total of 12 untrimmed copies supplied by the printer to the publisher, most of which were distributed as gifts to friends. The normal edition of Adams Volume Two measures 26 by 18.5 cm. An essential work for anyone seriously interested in either the auction catalogues themselves or their contents.
