Collated, complete.Seven of Robert Michael Ballantyne's popular adventure stories, including his most successful novel The Coral Island, in which three boys survive a shipwreck and are marooned on a South Pacific island. Robert Michael Ballantyne (1825-1894) was a prolific Scottish author and accomplished artist, best remembered for his adventure tales for children. In the publisher's original pictorial cloth bindings. Externally smart, with light shelf wear to the joints, extremities and head and tail of the spine. Spines are slightly faded. Tear to the cloth to the head of the spine, and shelf wear to the front board, of Young Fur Traders, with front hinge starting. Faint mark to the front board of The Coral Island. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean with the odd handling mark and some offsetting to the end papers. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
