Brautigan's final novel, written as he tried to come to terms with the death of two women, one by suicide, one from cancer. The completed manuscript was found by his only daughter, Iolanthe Brautigan, among his papers after his own suicide, and put aside for years. Orginally published in French, this is the first English language appearance.
