Wodehouse, following a young man who comes into an unexpected fortune. In the original unclipped dust wrapper.A lesser known novel by P. G. Wodehouse , following an amiable young man who suddenly inherits a fortune from an American man he once helped in golf. The young Lord Dawlish discovers that the American man left his niece out of his will, and decides to split his inheritance with her. This novel was serialised in the U.S. in the 'Saturday Evening Post', and in the U.K. in the 'Strand Magazine'.The seventeenth edition.One page of adverts to the rear. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart, with a faint damp stain to the front board. A couple of small marks to the boards and spine. Spine is a little faded. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Bookseller's label to the front paste down. Minor edge wear to the dust wrapper, mostly to the the head and tail of the spine, with small chips to the tail. Wraps are a little discoloured with some light spots, including to the reverse. A few small neat tape repairs to the reverse. Internally, firmly bound. Pages ae bright and clean. Very Good

Synopsis

Uneasy Money is a novel by P.G. Wodehouse, first published in the U.S. on March 17, 1916 by D. Appleton & Co. , New York, and in the U.K. on October 4, 1917 by Methuen & Co. , London. The story had earlier been serialised in the U. S in the Saturday Evening Post from December 1915, and in the UK in the Strand Magazine starting December 1916. It was the second novel Wodehouse sold to George Lorimer of the Post, after Something Fresh.
