About This Item
Living Hand, Weston, Connecticut., 1974. First edition. Octavo. Unpaginated. Wrappers - there was no hardbound issue. The author's first collection of his own poems, preceded by the mimeographed publication of his translations of French verse.Presentation copy from the author to a fellow poet and translator, inscribed on the title-page: ''for Michael Hamburger - in admiration, Paul Auster''. This copy also has the single pencilled correction which seems to have been made by the author whenever inscribing this book.Covers faded at the spine and edges. Very good indeed.
