About This Item

New York: Workers Party of America, [1923]. First Edition. Slim octavo (18.25cm); original printed card wrappers, stapled; [4],5-48pp. Modest wear and toning to wrappers, with the faint trace of an old ink name and price to upper margin of front cover; contents clean, complete; Very Good+. "An attack upon the Socialist Party for opportunism and treachery, combined with an appeal for a united front for concrete actions. The author, a Comintern representative to the Party here, holds the right-wing socialist leaders, not the left wing, responsible for the split in 1919. Opposed both to "the underground radicalism" and to "above-ground opportunism," he asserts that the right-wing socialist leaders will expose themselves by daily betrayals" (SEIDMAN P65).
