About This Item

London: The Crime Club. Collins. Very Good in Very Good- dust jacket. 1988. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. 0002321742 . FIRST EDITION, FIRST Printing. In Red boards with Bright gilt titling. Slightly bumped at top and base of spine and bottom front corner, and the pages are uniformly lightly browned, as usual with this type of paper used, o/w a Very Good book in a Near Very Good Dust Jacket with nice bright orange/black spine - this orange is often found faded. There is a little surface rubbing to the d/j corners and some very slight wear to the head/tail of the spine /edges of the d/j, but NO loss and this is pretty negligible - now in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover and looks Very Good. The dustjacket is NOT clipped. NO Inscriptions or Marks. 280 pp. "When young Tracey Pedley vanished in the woods around Burrthorpe, the close-knit community had their own ideas about what had happened, but Deputy Chief Constable Watmough has it down as the work of a child-killer who has since committed suicide - though others wondered about the last man to see her alive and his fatal plunge into the disused mine shaft. Returning to a town he left in anger, Colin Farr’s homecoming is ready for trouble, and when a university course brings him into contact with Ellie Pascoe, trouble starts…Meanwhile Andy Daziel mutters imprecations on the sidelines, until a murder in Burrthorpe mine forces him to take action that brings him up against a hostile and frightened community…". RIP Reginald Hill - 3 April 1936 to 12 January 2012. ; The Dalziel and Pascoe Novels; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
