It is inscribed in ink, "To Dana: a wife like yours deserves a trip to spring training. Charles Fountain Feb 23, 2009" on the half-title page. The jacket is in Fine condition with a little light soiling but no damage. The book has light rubbing near the base of the spine and on the back of the cover. It's not certain if the book has ever been read, but it is unmarked, square, and tight. This is a great copy of a definitive book on the history of baseball's spring training traditions, from the nineteenth century to the twenty-first. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall.
