Synopsis
The town of Chester's Mill, Maine, is suddenly covered by a dome, an invisible force field on a normal, autumn day. A small team of honorable townspeople stand up to try to figure out what is happening, and why, only to draw the attention of Big Jim Rennie, a loud-mouthed town politician. Is the dome truly the largest threat facing the town?

Stephen King fans will love this book. The size, over a thousand pages, won't daunt anyone who read "The Stand" or "It". It's King at his best; a Maine town full of interesting characters, both good and bad; a fight between evil and good; tales of corruption and insanity. The premise is simple- what happens if a small town is suddenly submerged under an impregnable dome? The slow realization of what it means as the townspeople struggle for supplies, power and ultimately for air, makes for a great read. The interaction of the characters is what makes it a great King book.

Terms of Sale
Books, Etc.
Items are 12mo. or 8vo or 4to. in original binding and in at least good condition unless otherwise noted. The dust jacket condition will be noted separately in the item description. Items are subject to prior sale, though we update our online inventory to remove sold books in a timely manner. Most books are posted with at least a picture of the cover, with other pictures of notable features or defects. Additional pictures of any item are available upon request. We strive to accurately and comprehensively describe the condition of each item for sale and will gladly provide further details if asked.
Standard shipping in the U.S. will go by USPS Media Rate; faster shipping will go by USPS Priority Mail. The shipping costs are based on most books weighing 2 - 4 pounds (1 - 2 kg). International shipping will cost more, unfortunately. Large, heavy books may require additional postage, but we will try to avoid this if we can.
If feasible, dust jackets will be placed in protective sleeves before shipping. If you don't like the protective sleeve, they are easy to remove without harming the dust jacket. We ship books protected by bubble wrap in carefully-taped boxes. For Priority Mail, we will usually box the book, then place the box inside a Priority Mail flat-rate envelope; most Priority Mail boxes are either too large or too small for individual books.
The "shipping times" are usually accurate, but delays can happen, as we have no influence on the national or international delivery industry! A tracking number for your package is available upon request. USPS Priority Mail shipping includes insurance.
All orders may be returned for any reason within 30 days of receipt.
