New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1903. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good. A collection of thirteen short stories by the American writer, artist, and engineer who is perhaps best known for building the foundation for the Statue of Liberty. From the library of William Andrews Clark, Jr., with the Los Angeles philanthropist and bibliophile's bookplate to the front pastedown. Octavo. Original green cloth binding, with decorative white and gilt stamping. Some general dust staining to the top edge. The spine is a touch sun faded; otherwise very good.
