Also laid in is a newspaper clipping from the Syracuse Post-Standard reviewing the event and sharing the speaker's message. This personal memoir from the founder of the Green Belt Movement in Africa and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize follows the author through her early life and struggle for education, her numerous run-ins with the brutal Moi government, and her eventual election to the Kenyan Parliament in 2002.
