Pencil inscription on front cover: "Gift of P.A. Martin." "La cuestión del Pacífico," 2. Pro-Chilean response to calls from Peruvian authors who reclaim provinces occupied by Chile since the War of the Pacific and annexed after the 1883 Treaty of Ancón. The status of these provinces was not resolved until 1929 in an agreement mediated by U.S. President Herbert Hoover's administration.
