Tours, France: Maison Alfred Mame et Fils, 1931. Hard Cover. Fair/No Jacket. Marie-Madeleine and Franc-Nohain. With illustrations by Marie-Madeleine and Franc-Nohain, both in black and white and in color. Perhaps one of 15 copies on Lafuma paper. 192 pages. ALL TEXT IN FRENCH. A collection of children's tales revolving around a young girl. In FAIR/GOOD condition. One color plate DETACHED and laid in, with fraying to its fore edge. Moderate darkening and minor to moderate soiling to the covers. Minor scuffing to the rear cover, with a slight dent/bow to it as well, near the lower edge. Extremities scuffed and bumped, with the corners frayed and slightly curled. Red cloth backstrip faded. Scattered moderate foxing to a few pages within, with minor foxing to several others. Text block is solid, with general darkening (with the exception of the aforementioned loose plate). Small insect hole to the upper margin of pages 167 to 192, not affecting text. Oversized. International shipping will be extra.
