Signed by the artist on title page, "for Mitzi affectionately Ulfert Wilke 11-9-75." Ulfert Wilke (1907-1987) was an internationally recognized painter and calligrapher connected to the abstract expressionism movement. He was also connected to the great New York school of artists of the 1950s and 1960s. He maintained close relationships with many famed artist colleagues including Ad Reinhardt, Julius Bissier, George Rickey, Mark Rothko, Lyonel Feininger, Max Beckmann, Mark Tobey, Kenzo Okada, Robert Motherwell and David Smith. The book is in good condition with very slight shelf wear and wear to edges. Interior is clean and tight. Blue spine/no text. #030746. Signed by Artist. First Edition. Paperback. Good. Oblong 8vo.
