Fine in Fine dust jacket. 1963. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. Folio 13" - 23" tall; Original tissue guard around the dust jacket. Contained in a very good plus folding cardboard box. Signed by the author in the rear and has a small typed note indicating who the recipient is. Also has the TLS from the author to the recipient, a Mr. Preston Woolf of Indianapolis, IN. From the Author's note: "the illustrations, drawn entirely from ukiyo-e prints and paintings in the author's collection, will afford the reader not only a pictorial tour of the towns and villages, the mountains, rivers, temples and shrines of the Edo-Hakone area, but also a sort of illustrated social history of the Edo Period.
