The set features 300 full-color photographic illustrations in each volume, showing the remarkable collections of two of the world's most beautiful and famous museums: the Pitti Palace and the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy. Representative artists include Giotto, Duccio, Raphael, Titian, Bronzino, Pontormo, Vasari, Michelandelo, Da Vinci, Bronzino, Caravaggio, Botticelli, Rubens, and many others. Each large volume measures 10 by 13 1/4 inches and includes 320 pages, with Index. The illustrated endpapers show The Medici Family genealogy. The Uffizi Gallery Museum volume is bound in a deep blue cloth with red spine, and die-stamped gilt spine lettering on the front panel and spine. The Pitti Palace Collection is bound in deep red cloth with blue spine, and die-stamped gilt spine lettering on the front panel and spine. NOTE: These books are in the 14-pound weight range.
