Good. Mounted albumen photographic print depicting men of the U. S. Cavalry from the Spanish-American War era. No photographer information. Photo measures 8 ¼" x 6 ½" and mount measures 12" x 9 ¾". Previous owner has written "U. S. Cavalry 1898" on verso. Photo has moderate yellowing; mount has heavy chipping, missing a 1" x 3 ¾" piece along top edge, ¾" x ¾" piece from bottom right corner, and a 1" x 1 ½" piece missing from left edge. Twenty-two cavalrymen in uniform pose for a photo. They are dressed in typical cavalry uniforms of the late 19th century and have a "N. Y." patch or pin on the arm or collar, swords, and some have "4" pinned to their hats. White military tents and other uniformed men are in the background. .
