About This Item
np, 1964. Very Good.. Typescript sent to Dick Higgins of Something Else Press of Cage's brief essay on the composer Henry Cowell. This piece was reproduced in holograph as the introduction to the Edition Peters score of Cowell's "Quartet Romatic" and "Quartet Euphoric" (No. 66518, 1964, here provided with the typescript). The typescript differs in a couple of small ways (1974 for 1964, "sixty" for "fifty" years). Manuscript material from Cage is scarce. Wraps. 8.5" x 10" typescript. Single page, recto only. Single penciled correction in unknown hand. SIGNED by Cage. Probably trimmed at the top with no loss to text. Else very good.
