About This Item

1942. Ephemera. 1 page. A typed letter signed to the illustrator Dorothy McKay, thanking her for sending him a drawing. Gerard was a prolific cartoonist for the Saturday Evening Post and Collier's Weekly. He also drew the Will-Yum comic, that was syndicated for a time to newspapers, and Citizen Smith, which ran for many years in the Indianapolis Star. Folded for mailing, else near fine.
