Illustrator: Photographic. list of illustrations and preface by authors. Green coloured boards with orange coloured insert to the back strip, and, within that insert gilt coloured titles. Illustrated dustwrapper with black and white coloured titles to the front panel and white coloured titles to the back strip. Sepia toned photograph of authors to the rear panel. The authors spend part of their childhood in the early part of the 20th century in a city in what was then East Bengal now part of Pakistan. It is not an autobiography as such, but more and evocation of a child's view of an adult world. A little softening of the back strip edges with rubbing of the book corners. Age toning and foxing of the text block edges and pages. Heavy foxing to the end pages. Some chipping of the top dustwrapper corners with rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels. There is are small, 0.25" tears to the top edge of the front panel. Rubbing of the dustwrapper panels. Foxing to the fold over panels and to the verso. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
