About This Item

London: Faber and Faber, 1932. Near fine in near fine dust jacket.. First UK edition of this pair of pieces that partly form the enormous puzzle that is FINNEGANS WAKE, in lovely condition. Subtitled "Fragments from WORK IN PROGRESS," TWO TALES OF SHEM AND SHAUN would later be included in parts I and III of FINNEGAN'S WAKE as symbolic of the sons of HCE. Ownership stamp of B. Naumburg to front flyleaf. Jacket with mild edgewear, small closed tear near middle of spine. Binding with a touch of edgewear. Tight.
