Beautiful and quite scare book showcasing the work of two great masters of contemporary painting: Matisse and Picasso, contains 12 black and white drawings by Maisse followed by 24 full page plates, Matisse critical survey by Jean Cassou, Picasso receives the same treatment with 12 pages of drawings and text by Jamie Sabartes then 24 full color plates of Picasso's work. The plates are all high quality with vivid and striking colors. The book is Fine, light brown cloth with dark brown titles on front board and on spine. ultra clean book with No previous owner names or writing, never read condition, tight and square with a touch of wear to rear tips. Jacket is Very Good plus to near fine, light rubbing on front panel and some very light edge wear. jacket protected in new mylar sleeve. Outsdtanding book more than 60 years old, a fine addition to any library. Professionally packaged and shipped. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
