About This Item
Chicago: Anti-Apartheid Solidarity Committee, 1987. Handbill. Three 8.5x11 in handbills; illus., one handbill for an emergency demonstration, another is a lecture and discussion on Mayekiso, and finally a double-sided handbill to boycott Citicorp, all in very good condition. Mayekiso, a prominent activist in the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa, was arrested in 1986 under the apartheid-era Internal Security Act and was eligible for the death penalty for treason.
