London, Melbourne and Toronto: Ward, Lock & Co., Limited, 1910. The sixth of Verne's "extraordinary voyages" was first published in English in 1873. (Sampson Low). Ward, Lock began printing Verne's works with illustrations by Henry Austin in the late 1890s. This is a Very Good (Plus) to Near Fine copy of a Later Printing. Bound in blue cloth with a gorgeous illustrated cover in green, white, and black - two divers in combat with a huge shark. Titling in black and gilt. The spine is also illustrated. Clean text; two parts bound together; 146 pages and 185 pages. Both parts have black and white illustrations as a frontis, with the second part being the full illustration of the cover. Minor rubbing to the bottom of the boards; slight lean. Tissue guard for the front illustration is a bit tattered at the edges. An exceptionally attractive book, in very nice condition.. Archival plastic protector.. Later Printing. Decorative Cloth. Very Good (Plus)/No Jacket. Illus. by Henry Austin. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
