Toronto: McClelland & Stewart 1951. (Hardcover) 288pp. Very good, no dust jacket. Red cloth with black lettering on the spine and a small black front cover illustration. The spine and corners are lightly bumped and edgeworn. "Private Turvey reporting, and would the gentlemen kindly remember he's just a Body, and so are all the other joes, and they never really lived, and they got phony names and outfits. And he's sorry about some of their language but the real guys talked a lot worse, and he hopes there aint any sailors present". (Fiction--Canada, Fiction--Canada, Soldiers, World War II).
