About This Item

Thriplow, Cambridge: Icon Books, 2005. Hardback octavo, dustjacket, very good condition (in very good dustjacket), flyleaf corner clipped, minor edgewear. 206 pp. Australian science writer tells the incredible story of a giant fireball, perhaps a comet, that exploded over Siberia in June 1908, that flattened a large area of forest. It has been the subject of many conspiracy theories, because few if any fragments have been found.
