Hardcover with unclipped dust jacket, 461 pages, plus maps and black-and-white illustrations and endpaper maps; book very gently used, tight in binding, not a trace of shelf wear, previous owner's embossed stamp on free front endpaper, two line gift inscription in red ink on back of that page dated "Xmas 1984", related newspaper article lightly taped to back of half title page, two others laid (all included at no extra charge), otherwise very clean and unmarked throughout, pages fresh and white; DJ very gently bumped and rubbed along edges, but no chips or tears.
