A case reference note is written in an early hand bellow the first part of the title on the title page. The inside front cover contains a small tag with handwritten initials. Published court transcript of the famous trial of George C. Hersey for the poisoning / murder of his sister-in-law to be Betsy Frances Tirrell (who was pregnant by him). Hersey was convicted and hanged.
