Top edge dyed brown; pictorial endpapers. Handling and shelf wear to covers; mild soiling; shallow fraying and loss to corners, edges and spine ends. Edges toned; hinges well worked but still firm enough. Early gift inscription to flyleaf. Otherwise clean, tight and unmarked. Very neat -- still quite a sound and handsome copy. Plates in colour, drawings, photographs. 451pp..
