New York: Dodd, Mead & Co, 1946. Solid copy in its first printing. Author's second book. Light gray boards stamped in black ink on front panel and spine. Unmarked but for pencilled signature of former owner on front endpaper. Tight and pretty square. One bumped tip, crimped spine ends. Price intact jacket has chip on rear panel, some rubbing and small closed tears and light to moderate paper loss at spine ends. There is a second jacket for this book as well. It is not quite as nice but scarce on the market. It has shallow chipping along mostly top edge but a little to bottom edge and small one along spine. In mylar.. First American Edition. Cloth. Very Good/VG Minus (Two Jackets!). 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Detective.
