About This Item
New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1928. Near fine.. Octavo. Stripe patterned cloth boards, paper spine label. Several leaves unopened. Lovely, tiny, Texas woman-owned bookstore label affixed to the rear pastedown, trivial foxing to rear board cloth and some minor flaring of the boards - probably attributed to contraction of the glue on the pastedowns, else near fine.
First edition, limited to 100 copies, of which this is № 81, numbered and signed by the author, her third book of poetry and final title published in her lifetime. The Texas bookseller whose label adorns this copy was Eula Wolcott who owned several bookshops in the Dallas area, this one in the "glamorous" Baker Hotel. Her book label, admittedly, may only be of interest to bookstore label nerds like myself.
