A stranger falls in love with the wife of a hardened land baron after saving the baron from bushwhackers.

Set in the Wyoming Territory, shot on location in Colorado.

Goldenrod titled wrappers, rubber-stamped copy No. 143 and production No. 5626, dated 8-1-55, with credits for screenwriter Michael Blankfort, director Robert Wise, and producer S. Zimbalist. Title page integral to the first page of the text, dated 7-29-55. 131 leaves, with last page of text numbered 124. Mimeograph duplication, with white, pink, and blue revision pages throughout, dated variously between 4/12/55 and 10/5/55. Pages Fine, wrapper Near Fine, bound with two gold brads. In a custom green quarter-leather clamshell box.
