Publishers' scarlet cloth with gilt titles and ruling to spine, in cream pictorial dust-jacket. Spine lightly sunned; contents clean with no annotation or inscriptions. Jacket a little surface soiled with creases top edge and very minor nicks. A Near Fine copy in Very Good jacket. Notable British Trials series. Report on the arraignment of Peter Barnes and others on a charge of murder at the 1939 Birmingham Assizes, in connection with the bombing of Coventry in which a civilian was killed. Barnes and one of his associates were convicted and executed, following a trial which was regarded as a fine example of how a case should be presented. Scarce in the dust-jacket.
