Decades after the death of 10-year-old Clifford Glover, The Trial of Patrolman Thomas Shea retains its ability to place us at the scene of the killing--the South Jamaica area of Queens County--and at the controversial and sensitive trail that followed. Hardcover. Burgundy cloth binding with gilt decorative the cover. Quarter bound in genuine burgundy leather. Spine has raised bands, adorned with gilt lettering and decorative design. Endpapers are a specially commissioned, marbled design of Iris Nevins (yellow, blue, red and green color themes). The text paper was specifically made for this edition by Finch Paper Company. All gilded edges with extremely minor scratching. Map illustration at front. Pages are in pristine condition with no creasing, marginalia or environmental markings of any kind. Gold silk ribbon bookmark. Original letter to Notable Trials Library charter member laid in. [viii] 273 pp. Special notation page dedicated to special edition on last page. An great like new copy.
