XIV, 130 pp., then a section, at back, of 36 black and white and 8 coloured plates, preface by D. A. N. Cromer, Director-General, forestry and timber bureau, acknowledgements, introduction, bibliography. Olive green coloured endpapers, with previous owner's details at the bottom right hand corner of the front end page. Bottle green boards with gilt writing on spine. Photographic dustwrapper, showing two versions of vegetation in Darwin, with green and black background and white and back writing on front panel and spine. There is generalised fading and rubbing of the wrapper. Minor creasing of the edges of the dustwrapper. This book was produced by the agricultural department of Australia to help people living in monsoon/tropical areas to choose trees for their gardens wisely, with an eye for provision of shade and shelter.
