About This Item

Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1889. Leather. Very Good Indeed. 7.5" by 5.5". None. A collection of poetry with introduction and notes by Francis T Palgrave. In original gilt stamped quarter vellum binding. With the works of several esteemed poets such as John Donne, Thomas Ken, Joseph Beaumont, John Keble and Alfred Lord Tennyson. Francis Turner Palgrave was a British critic, anthologist and poet. His critical work was by far more highly esteemed compared to his poetry. In original quarter vellum binding with red cloth covered boards. Externally, very smart. The cloth to the boards has faded slightly. Guildhall Library, London bookplate to front pastedown. Institutional stamp to pastedown, title page and several pages throughout. Doesn't affect text. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with the odd spot throughout. Very Good Indeed
