Edinburgh: Gall and Inglis, 1867. Hardcover, green cloth, gilt decorations and lettering on front cover and spine. No stated date however gift inscription is dated 1867 from St Catharines Ontario Canada. 248 pp with illustrations throughout. Chapter headings: Insects, Birds, Quadrupeds, Reptiles, Fishes and lastly an interesting section entitled "Signs Exhibited by Animals indicating Changes of the Weather". Sadly the covers are very worn, gilding on all page edges is present but dulled, hinges very weak. Interior however is quite acceptable.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fair. Illus. by Illustrated.
