Cloth rubbed at edges and worn at spine ends, faded at spine, with gilt remaining fairly bright. Corners bumped. Previous owner name to front free endpaper, and bookplate of F. P. Williamson to front paste down. Pages toned. A British traveler's account through far eastern Russia during the time of the Second Anglo-Chinese War, a conflict also referred to as the Second Opium War.
