Elaborate pictorial gilt tooled inner dentelles with horse and horse shoe motif frame and ornate gilt tooled figure of soldier with drawn sword to front and rear paste downs. Silk moire endsheets. Accompanied by custom hardshell slipcase. a.e.g. Thick Folio. Number thirty five of a limited edition printed on Japanese vellum. Sumptuously illustrated with fifty colour lithographic plates and 300 further monochrome drawings en texte. Also an original hand coloured litho mounted onto flyleaf. Vallet's classic work on cavalry life is artfully encased in a most splendid continental binding. A masterful presentation. The slightest of rubbing to spine. A Fine bright copy.
