London. The Folio Society. 2000. Size 7.0 x 9.0 inches. In dark blue cloth covers with silver to spine and boards. In dark blue hard card slip case. Silver endpapers. In very good condition. A very clean and tight copy. Corners rubbed. Small mark to back of spine. Shelf wear to slipcase. 234pp. With b/w illustrations and map. The author describes his arrest as a member of the Italian resistance during the Second World War and his incarceration in the Auschwitz concentration camp from February 1944 until the camp was liberated in January 1945.
